Corrections
The research record should show what changed, when it changed, and why.

Material errors
Factual, quantitative, attribution, or methodological errors that could affect a reader's understanding are corrected after verification. The publication receives a dated note describing what changed and why.
Clarifications and updates
A clarification addresses language that is technically accurate but reasonably open to a materially different interpretation. An update adds new evidence or a changed conclusion without necessarily making the original work erroneous. Substantive clarifications and updates are dated and distinguished from corrections.
Minor edits
Typographic, formatting, accessibility, or link changes that do not alter meaning may be made without a correction note. Disagreement with an analysis or conclusion is not by itself a factual error.
Submitting a correction
Send correction requests to nick@joule14.com. Include the publication URL, exact passage, supporting evidence, and proposed correction. Joule14 reviews the evidence and retains editorial control over whether and how the research record changes.
